hand made clipcord

so i already build machines and footswitches from scratch, i figured id take a shot at a clipcord. i was shocked in my final outcome.

so i started with some speaker wire, a 1/4" phono plug, two needle bars, some hard fiber material from clip-boards, and some spring stock. in about 5 minutes i had this:

i plugged it into my eikon meter, and ran one of my machines with one of my footswitches. i had it at about 6 volts and it sounded like i was running it at 20 volts!

i turned it down to 3.25 volts and it ran really strong and hard, like it would have before at 6 volts. the only difference was the clipcord.

since i have started tattooing, ive been using cheap chinese clipcords, and didnt really think anything of it, but after making this one, i realized i used way better quality wire and 1/4" plug, making it easier to run at lower volts. im stoked.
