fisherman's friend footpedal

made this today on my day off. i plan on having some footswitches as well as a handful of machines done for the boston convention.

includes rubber legs so it wont slide, as well as weights (4 AA batteries superglued on the inside) so it has a decent heft to it.

also, painted this stoney st clair last night.

and a few minutes later...

i had a brown vintage looking bicycle seat laying around.

i started looking at the rebel, unscrewing the passenger seat, the sissy bar and eventually popped the seat off.

stuck this on and thought....hmmm.

its wired on there right now with a few layers of twisted tattoo machine coil wire.

itll work good till my solo seat somes (i got a black one) and it feels A LOT better.

score for riggin stuff! and i gotta admit. i like the brown seat.. maybe ill reupholster the black one when it comes next week.

call me crazy

but i love a good hard seat. ive been riding the cl125 around here and there, then today i hopped on the rebel450 for a trip to work to say hi and hang out. i HATE the seat. its too soft and huge. im not some fat ass on a full dresser bagger bike going accross the country.

i ordered a new solo seat today, and i cant wait for my bars from front st. cycle (awesome guy)

then im bidding on a cool tail light and i can finally have a cool bobber and not feel like a little bitch on the stock setup

here she is...

got that fender and light done last night, and here she is after i took her for a spin to get some gas.

also, this is how it looked when i got it, restoration purists look away now...

quite the transformation in a few days.

Monday, June 7, 2010

ohhhh yeah.

woke up today and took the bike for a spin, even though it was missing a fender and a tail light. snapped these:

just as i was leaving for the shop, my tail light (made for bicycles) came.

when i got home, i cut a piece off the front fender from the gs550, drilled some holes, and did some paint and...

tomorrow ill get some good "finished" pics.

holy update batman

so since i got my bike to idle and run. i insured it and today i got it plated and in my name.

last night hit my sidecovers with some sandpaper, primer, paint and clear.

then today i came home, took the tank off and emptied it. sanded, cleaned, primed, painted, and cleared.

then my buddy zach came over and we got down to biz. took off the rear fender and turn signals. as well as the front turn signals.

last night i ordered a little tail light housing for the little fender im making out of my old gs550 front fender. got some wood at home depost to cut the shape for the new seat upholstry, and i made this.

we attacked the bars, and let me just say FUCK wired thru bars. oh well. tomorrow we'll get all the holes drilled in the new bars, and hopefully everything will be finished besides the tail light.

also tomorrow gotta cut the fender, drill the holes for where theyll be mounted as well as the hole for the little tail light. then sand, primer and paint it.

yay for progress!

FTW.

victory!

well today after i got home i did a little carb tuning on the cl125 and BLAMMO! it freakin idles now! and damn good i might add. i did this pose for a few solid minutes right after:

i called progressive and added it to my policy, now i just gotta register and title it : for the first time in 29 years!

now, do i keep it pretty and stock, or do i do a brat-style/gravel crew inspired overhaul?

ps. i wish i never went to college, cause i dont need it to tattoo and im stuck with $17,000 in debt. anyone wanna buy some paintings and machines?
